NMF Senior Fellow Addresses Critical Maritime Infrastructure at the 17th ARF Maritime Security Meeting

Captain KS Vikramaditya, Senior Fellow at the National Maritime Foundation (NMF), contributed to discussions on critical maritime infrastructure at the 17th ASEAN Regional Forum Inter-Sessional Meeting on Maritime Security, held in Jakarta from 28 to 29 April 2026.

During the meeting, Captain Vikramaditya highlighted the challenges posed by fragmented and siloed approaches to the protection of critical maritime infrastructure across the Indo-Pacific. He presented a four-layer integrated regional approach aimed at strengthening coordination and developing a more comprehensive framework for safeguarding vital maritime infrastructure.

India co-chaired the 17th ARF Inter-Sessional Meeting on Maritime Security alongside Indonesia and the United States. The engagement provided an important regional platform for advancing dialogue on maritime security, critical infrastructure protection, and cooperative approaches to emerging challenges across the Indo-Pacific.
