The National Maritime Foundation actively engages with a wide network of national and international partners to advance informed dialogue, research collaboration, and capacity-building across the maritime domain.
These partnerships—formalised through Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) as well as sustained institutional engagements—bring together academic institutions, think tanks, government bodies, and industry stakeholders. They serve as a platform for joint research, co-hosted events, scholarly exchanges, and policy-oriented discussions on issues central to maritime security, ocean governance, and the blue economy.
At the international level, NMF collaborates with leading institutions across the Indo-Pacific and beyond, fostering cross-regional perspectives on maritime strategy, emerging technologies, and global maritime challenges. At the national level, the Foundation works closely with universities, research centres, and strategic organisations to strengthen India’s maritime discourse and build domain expertise.
Through these partnerships, NMF seeks to promote interdisciplinary approaches, deepen institutional linkages, and contribute to a more comprehensive and forward-looking understanding of maritime affairs. The Foundation remains committed to expanding its network of collaborators in support of a secure, sustainable, and rules-based maritime order.
