Vice Admiral Pradeep Chauhan, AVSM & Bar, VSM, IN (Retd), Director General, National Maritime Foundation (NMF), addressed the ongoing Higher Command Course at AWC on “Security in the Indo-Pacific Region and India”.
During his address, Vice Admiral Chauhan examined the evolving strategic environment in the Indo-Pacific and its implications for India’s national security and maritime interests. He highlighted the key challenges and opportunities shaping the region, including the growing importance of maritime security, regional stability, strategic competition, and cooperative engagement.
The session also explored India’s approach to the Indo-Pacific, with emphasis on the country’s role as a responsible maritime power and its contribution to a free, open, inclusive, and rules-based regional order.
