NMF Serves as Knowledge Partner at the Indo-Pacific Geo Intelligence Forum 2026

The National Maritime Foundation (NMF) served as Knowledge Partner for Geospatial World at the Indo-Pacific Geo Intelligence Forum 2026, held at the Manekshaw Centre, New Delhi.

Commodore Jai Bedi, Executive Director, NMF, chaired Plenary 5 on “Geospatial and Space Empowered Intelligence for Maritime Security”. The session brought together regional experts from the defence, cyber, and geospatial technology domains to advance discussions on holistic maritime security and decision superiority at sea.

Dr Chime Youdon, Head of NMF’s RSOR Cluster, participated as a panellist and highlighted the role of integrated spatial data in strengthening Marine Spatial Planning across the Indo-Pacific, advancing the Blue Economy, and supporting implementation of the BBNJ Agreement.

The session benefited from perspectives offered by representatives from the Ministry of Defence, Sri Lanka, the Indian Navy Cyber Group, and Vantor India, contributing to a timely and substantive exchange on geospatial intelligence, maritime security, and emerging operational challenges.
