NMF Hosts First Formal Review of its Book Project on ‘Advanced Marine Vehicles’

The National Maritime Foundation (NMF) hosted the first Formal Book Review of its Book Project on Advanced Marine Vehicles at the NMF Conference Hall on 29 June 2026.

The session featured a presentation by Lieutenant Gaurav Tehlan, Divisional Officer, Naval Construction Wing (Kochi), Southern Naval Command, Indian Navy. This was followed by discussant remarks by Commodore Amit Ray of the Directorate of Naval Design (Submarine Design Group), Indian Navy.

Vice Admiral Pradeep Chauhan, AVSM & Bar, VSM, IN (Retd), Director General, NMF, delivered the welcome and closing remarks.

The review was also attended by Rear Admiral Sujit Baxi, Director General, Warship Design Bureau, alongside NMF Staff and Fellows. The session concluded with a vibrant audience interaction, contributing to a wider exchange of perspectives on advanced marine vehicles, naval design, maritime technology, and contemporary maritime research.
