The session explored the distinction between policy and strategy, highlighting that while policy defines a nation’s long-term objectives, strategy provides the roadmap for achieving them. Vice Admiral Chauhan also emphasised that maritime power extends beyond naval strength and encompasses commercial shipping, ports, logistics, and resilient maritime infrastructure.
