The National Maritime Foundation (NMF) marked a significant leadership transition on 16 June 2026 with the appointment of Admiral Dinesh K Tripathi, PVSM, AVSM, NM (Retd), former Chief of the Naval Staff, as its new Chairman.
Admiral Tripathi succeeds Admiral Karambir Singh, PVSM, AVSM, IN (Retd), who led the Foundation with distinction and made an invaluable contribution to advancing NMF’s institutional vision and maritime engagement.
The transition marks the beginning of a new chapter for the Foundation. Under Admiral Tripathi’s leadership, NMF looks forward to further strengthening its role in maritime research, strategic discourse, and the advancement of India’s maritime interests.
