The National Maritime Foundation signs Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Taiwan-Asia Exchange Forum (TAEF)

We are pleased to announce the signing, on 08 October 2020, of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the National Maritime Foundation and the Taiwan-Asia Exchange Forum (TAEF). The signing ceremony was held online during the 2020 Yoshan Forum organised by the TAEF. In a brief but succinct opening address, Admiral Sunil Lanba, PVSM, AVSM, IN (Retd), Chairman NMF and former Chief of the Naval Staff, and Professor Hsin-Huang Michael Hsiao, Chairman TAEF, in their opening remarks provided both think tanks with invaluable guidance for their future joint endeavours. The MoU was signed on behalf of the NMF by its Director-General, Vice Admiral Pradeep Chauhan, AVSM & Bar, VSM, IN (Retd), and, by Professor Hsin-Huang Michael Hsiao, Chairman TAEF. The ceremony was witnessed by TAEF Executive Director, Dr. Alan Hao Yang, TAEF scholars and staff, the Yoshan Forum audience, and online by the NMF Executive Director, Captain Sarabjeet S Parmar, Deputy Director, Cdr Anand Kumar, all research scholars and research support executives.

The Taiwan-Asia Exchange Foundation is a policy-oriented pilot think tank in Taiwan with a focus on Southeast Asian and South Asian affairs. This institutional collaboration established between the NMF and the TAEF seeks to further the aims of both think tanks by conducting joint research on, and advocacy of, maritime domain related issues of common interest.
