India–Korea Maritime Partnership Strengthened as NMF and KMI Sign Strategic MoU in Busan

A step forward in maritime collaboration!

The National Maritime Foundation and the Korea Maritime Institute signed an MoU in Busan, in the esteemed presence of His Excellency Amit Kumar, Indian Ambassador to the Republic of Korea, and Colonel Ashish Gairola, Defence Attaché.

The MoU was signed by Vice Admiral Pradeep Chauhan, AVSM & Bar, VSM, (Retd), Director General, NMF, and Dr Cho Jung-hee, President, KMI, along with Dr Park Young-Gil, Research Fellow, at the KMI Office in Busan.

This marks the beginning of an exciting chapter in 🇮🇳–🇰🇷 strategic and maritime cooperation.

A strategic step forward in Busan!

During the signing of the MoU between the National Maritime Foundation (NMF) and the Korea Maritime Institute (KMI), VAdm Pradeep Chauhan, AVSM & Bar, VSM (Retd), DG NMF, gave an insightful presentation on NMF’s vision, charter, and core research areas.

From maritime security and the blue economy to ocean governance and maritime diplomacy — the presentation showcased NMF’s standing as India’s leading maritime think tank with a growing global footprint.
