The National Maritime Foundation (NMF) and the Sea Power Centre – Australia have formalised their institutional partnership through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding, marking a significant step forward in India–Australia maritime cooperation.
The Memorandum of Understanding was signed by Admiral Karambir Singh, PVSM, AVSM, IN (Retd), Chairman of the National Maritime Foundation, and establishes a framework for deeper engagement between two prominent maritime think tanks in the Indo-Pacific.
The partnership seeks to strengthen institutional ties and facilitate greater cooperation in areas of shared maritime and strategic interest. The MoU assumes particular significance amid the growing importance of India–Australia strategic cooperation and the evolving maritime security environment across the Indo-Pacific.
The agreement reflects NMF’s continued commitment to building meaningful international partnerships, advancing maritime research and strategic dialogue, and contributing to stronger maritime cooperation between India and Australia.
