NMF and ICIPS Sign MoU to Strengthen Indo-Pacific Maritime Research Collaboration

The National Maritime Foundation and the International Centre for Indo-Pacific Studies (ICIPS), Kurukshetra University, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to deepen collaboration on maritime and Indo-Pacific research, academic engagement, and policy dialogue.

The MoU was signed by Vice Admiral Pradeep Chauhan, AVSM & Bar, VSM (Retd), Director-General of the National Maritime Foundation, and Virender Pal, Registrar of Kurukshetra University.

The partnership aims to foster joint research initiatives, academic exchanges, and policy-oriented discussions on key maritime issues. It seeks to strengthen institutional linkages between research and academic communities while promoting interdisciplinary approaches to maritime studies.

The collaboration reflects a shared commitment to advancing understanding of maritime security, the blue economy, and the evolving strategic dynamics of the Indo-Pacific. It also underscores the growing importance of academic–policy partnerships in shaping informed and forward-looking maritime discourse.
