NMF–GeoSmart India Collaboration Highlights the Role of Geospatial Intelligence in Maritime Security and the Blue Economy

The National Maritime Foundation (NMF) partnered with GeoSmart India at its Silver Jubilee flagship event, contributing strategic and analytical insights across two high-impact sessions focused on the convergence of oceans, data, and security.

The first panel, titled “Blue Economy and Hydrospatial Infrastructure: Unlocking Marine Potential through Hydrospatial Intelligence”, was moderated by Dr Chime Youdon. The discussion examined how hydrospatial data and geospatial analytics can strengthen resilient maritime infrastructure, support informed Blue Economy planning, and enable evidence-based decision-making in an era marked by climate-related challenges.

The fourth session on Defence and Internal Security, led by Admiral Pradeep Chauhan, AVSM & Bar (Retd.), explored the transformative role of geospatial intelligence in reshaping security frameworks, enhancing operational awareness, and strengthening national resilience.

The National Maritime Foundation values its collaboration with GeoSmart India and remains committed to advancing partnerships at the intersection of maritime security, sustainability, and geospatial innovation.
