The National Maritime Foundation had the privilege of hosting Prof (Ms) Chisako T MASUO from the Graduate School of Social & Cultural Studies, Kyushu University, Japan.
Prof MASUO delivered a thought-provoking lecture on “Grey Zone operations in Taiwan and Okinawa”.
Her analysis of China’s maritime zoning policies and their implications for neighbouring countries emphasised the need for vigilance and collaboration among regional actors such as India and Japan.
Her emphasis on academic and strategic exchanges inspired deeper reflection on the importance of such collaborations for understanding the evolving geopolitics of the Indo-Pacific .
A highly engaging and insightful session, it underscored the role of education and dialogue in shaping a secure maritime future .
