Showcasing India’s Perspective on Maritime Fuel Transition: NMF at the CIL-CLIMA Conference, Singapore

The National Maritime Foundation was honored to be represented at the CIL-CLIMA Conference on the Decarbonization of Shipping and Alternative Fuels in Singapore , where Ayushi Srivastava presented a co-authored study titled “Decarbonising Shipping: A Case Study of Ammonia’s Potential as the Maritime Fuel of the Future”. The presentation explored ammonia’s potential as a viable marine fuel in the global push towards net-zero shipping, delving into its feasibility, safety, regulatory considerations, and key technical aspects critical for its adoption. Hosted by the NUS Centre for International Law and the Center for Climate Change Law and Governance, University of Copenhagen, the conference gathered global experts to discuss the legal, environmental, technical, and operational pathways for adopting alternative fuels in the maritime sector.
