On November 20, 2024, the National Maritime Foundation (NMF) proudly hosted the virtual workshop “Unlock Ocean-Based Solutions to Climate Change” in collaboration with Nausicaá, the European Commission, and EurOcean as part of the OceanCitizen series!

Bringing together 20 young ocean advocates from across Asia—activists, scientists, artists, educators, and entrepreneurs—the workshop tackled the UN Decade Challenge and emphasized the oceans’ critical role in addressing the climate crisis.

These powerful ideas will resonate at the UN Ocean Conference 2025 in Nice, steering us toward a sustainable and resilient future.

Aligned with COP29, this event strengthens our commitment to shaping a healthier planet through innovative, ocean-based solutions.
