Captain R S Sawan, Senior Fellow at the National Maritime Foundation (NMF), participated in a Table Top Exercise (TTX) conducted at the Bangladesh Institute of Maritime Research and Development (BIMRAD).
The exercise, led by officers from the Maritime Border Command, Australia, focused on the application of analytical tools and structured processes to support information fusion and enhance Maritime Domain Awareness (MDA). The engagement provided valuable insights into best practices for improving situational awareness and coordination in the maritime domain.
During his visit, Captain Sawan also called on Commodore Syed Misbah Uddin Ahmad, Director General, BIMRAD. Discussions centred on exploring avenues to further strengthen cooperation between NMF and BIMRAD, with a shared objective of enhancing regional maritime understanding, collaboration, and coordination.
