NMF Senior Fellow Highlights Need for Regional Cooperation on Non-Traditional Maritime Security Challenges

Captain Ranendra S Sawan, Senior Fellow for Regional Maritime Security at the National Maritime Foundation (NMF), addressed the importance of conceptual alignment in responding to non-traditional maritime security challenges at the Maritime and Internal Security Workshop 2025 (MISW 2025).

In his intervention, Captain Sawan emphasised the growing complexity of non-traditional threats in the maritime domain and highlighted the critical need for enhanced regional cooperation and shared maritime awareness to effectively counter these evolving challenges. He underlined that coordinated approaches and common understanding among regional stakeholders are essential for maintaining maritime stability.
