Representing the National Maritime Foundation (NMF), Captain R S Sawan and Commandant Neeraj Sharma participated in the international conference titled “India and a Multipolar World: Strategic Autonomy, the Indo-Pacific Imperative and Digital Diplomacy”, held in Mumbai.
During the conference, Captain R S Sawan articulated India’s evolving maritime interests in the Indo-Pacific region and contributed to an insightful panel discussion on changing regional and global dynamics. Commandant Neeraj Sharma focused on contemporary maritime security challenges in South Asia, underlining the critical role of regional cooperation in ensuring stability and security across the Indian Ocean Region.
The conference was organised by Jai Hind College, Mumbai, in collaboration with the Indian Council of World Affairs (ICWA), Chanakya Policy & Research Foundation, and the National Maritime Foundation. It served as a valuable platform for deliberations at the intersection of geopolitics, diplomacy, and maritime security.
