NMF and Korea Institute for Maritime Strategy Sign MoU to Strengthen India–Republic of Korea Maritime Cooperation

In a significant step towards advancing India–Republic of Korea maritime cooperation, the National Maritime Foundation (NMF) and the Korea Institute for Maritime Strategy (KIMS) formalised their partnership through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in Seoul.

The MoU was signed on 4 November 2025 by Vice Admiral Pradeep Chauhan, AVSM & Bar, VSM (Retd), Director General, NMF, and Vice Admiral Taeho Won (Retd), Republic of Korea Navy and President, KIMS.

The agreement reflects a shared commitment to enhancing research collaboration, policy dialogue, and strategic understanding on key maritime issues shaping the Indo-Pacific region. By institutionalising cooperation, both organisations have reaffirmed their dedication to promoting a stable, secure, and cooperative maritime domain through sustained academic and strategic engagement.
