The National Maritime Foundation hosted Captain Hiroyuki Kosuga, Outgoing Naval Attaché at the Embassy of Japan, for a professional interaction, alongside the introduction of the incoming Naval Attaché, Captain Nakanishi Ryota of the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force (JMSDF).
The interaction was attended by Vice Admiral Pradeep Chauhan, AVSM & Bar, VSM (Retd), Director-General of the National Maritime Foundation; Commodore Jai Bedi, Executive Director; Ms Chitali Kohli; and Ms Arijita Sinha Roy.
The engagement reaffirmed the shared commitment of India and Japan to strengthening maritime cooperation and sustaining strategic dialogue in the Indo-Pacific. Discussions underscored the importance of institutional engagement and continuity in defence and maritime partnerships.
The National Maritime Foundation conveyed its appreciation to Captain Kosuga for his contributions during his tenure and extended a warm welcome to Captain Nakanishi, expressing confidence in continued collaboration and engagement.
This interaction reflects the Foundation’s ongoing role in facilitating dialogue and strengthening maritime partnerships between India and key Indo-Pacific stakeholders.
