NMF Senior Fellow Highlights IFC–IOR Framework at Indo-Pacific Maritime Domain Awareness Workshop

Captain R S Sawan, Senior Fellow at the National Maritime Foundation (NMF), delivered a presentation titled “Case Study in Information Sharing: IFC–IOR” at the Maritime Domain Awareness (MDA) Workshop organised in Dhaka by the Bangladesh Institute of Maritime Research and Development (BIMRAD) in collaboration with the National Security College (NSC), Australian National University (ANU).

Presenting alongside Lieutenant Commander Rohit Jadhav, Operations Officer, Indian Ocean Region, Captain Sawan highlighted the critical importance of harmonising operational terminology among Information Sharing Centres (ISCs). His presentation underscored how a shared operational lexicon is essential for ensuring clarity, interoperability, and timely decision-making in the maritime domain across the Indo-Pacific region.
