A four-member team from the NMF, including Commodore Manish Sinha (Executive Director), Commodore Debesh Lahiri (Senior Fellow), Ms Ayushi Srivastava (Associate Fellow), and Ms Priyasha Dixit (Research Associate), was graciously hosted by His Excellency Mr Issa Alshibani, the Ambassador of Oman, at his Embassy office in New Delhi.

The meeting explored potential avenues for collaboration, with a focus on the Stitched Ship Project 🛶 currently under construction in India. This initiative aims to revive ancient maritime traditions of crafting and sailing hand-stitched vessels. Upon completion, this remarkable ship will set sail from Gujarat to Oman, reaffirming the enduring bond between the two nations.

Together, India and Oman aim to sail towards a future where history and innovation meet 🤝✨.
