Experience

Prior to my 6 months stint at the NMF, I worked with the Institute of Chinese Studies, New Delhi for 3 months. I also interned with the East Asia Centre of the Institute for Defence Studies and Analysis for 8 months during the course of my M.Phil. study in Jamia Millia Islamia.

My broad areas of interest are China’s Strategic Culture, Maritime Geo-strategies of India and China, Geopolitics of Connectivity Corridors in Asia, Cross-Strait Relations and Himalayan Geopolitics.

I have published articles, commentaries as well as book reviews in peer-reviewed journals like Prag Consilience, Maritime Affairs, Conversations in Development Studies and China Report. I also co-authored an article on the “De-Nuclearization of the Korean Peninsula” for the East Asia Review, IDSA, while another co-authored piece on the geopolitical impact of Covid-19 has been accepted for publication in a book titled Covid-19. Apart from books and journals, I have also written for The Pioneer, a national daily of India. My writings have also been accepted for publication in websites of the NMF, IDSA, ICS, Vivekananda International Foundation (VIF), South Asia Monitor and Eurasia Review.

I have been fortunate to be awarded the one-year Huayu Enrichment Scholarship to undertake Mandarin language training in Taiwan by the Ministry of Education, Republic of China (Taiwan) in 2019. I have also been awarded the UGC NET-JRF in Defence and Strategic Studies (2017) and UGC NET in Political Science (2018).
