Indranil Banerjie is an analyst, freelance journalist and woodworker based in Greater Noida in the National Capital Region (India). For several years (1999-2011), Indranil ran an independent, national security focussed think tank, SAPRA India Foundation. The Foundation focused on research in geopolitical and geo-economic issues. Prior to that he worked as a full-time journalist and television director for over two decades. Currently, he is a consultant on geo-economic and political risk issues. Additionally, he also oversees, writes and prepares content for various communications projects. He also writes for Indian newspapers. He has worked with several reputed media organisations, including the Living Media group (India Today), Ananda Bazar Patrika Group (The Telegraph & Sunday magazine) and NDTV (The World This Week). During this period, he travelled widely in India and wrote over a thousand news and feature articles.
