    Experience

    Rear Admiral Saif bin Nasser Al Rahbi was born in Al Dakhiliya Governorate (Interior) in 1968. He joined the Royal Navy of Oman in 1988 and commissioned as Sub Lieutenant on completion of the Midshipman
    Training Course from the King Fahad Naval Academy in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

    During his professional career at sea, he had served in a number of fleet vessels; he was the Commanding Officer of different classes of combatant ships as well as the RNOV “Shabab Oman” that had a bright
    history under his command through participating in international sailing races and festivals, winning renowned awards and trophies across the oceans until the vessel was decommissioned in 2014. After that, he was promoted to Captain and appointed as the Commander of the vessel’s second edition called “Shabab Oman II” until 2016.

    He attended many courses such as the Command and Staff Course in the Sultanate of Oman during 2008. Also, he attended National Defence Course in the United States of America in 2017, after which, he was appointed
    as Head of Defence Studies Center till 2019. Then, he was promoted to the rank of Commodore and held the post of Sultan Qaboos Naval Academy Commandant.

    In 2020, he was appointed as the Assistant of Chief of Staff of Sultan’s Armed Forces for Administration until 18th January 2021, the date on which, a Royal Decree was issued, stipulating his promotion to the rank of Rear
    Admiral and appointment as the Commander of the Royal Navy of Oman.

    Rear Admiral Saif orders and Medals include Excellent Service Medal, Sultan’s Commendation Medal and the Order of “Kuwait Liberation and Desert Storm”. Among the preferable interests of Rear Admiral Saif are
    walking and swimming. He is married and blesse d with (5) children.
