Experience
A serving Indian Coast Guard Officer who joined service in January 1993, is a qualified Aviation Operations officer with around 4000 flying hours. The officer has done M.Sc in Aviation Operations Management from CUSAT. The officer has vast experience in multi-disciplinary operational and administrative roles and has been involved with planning and conducting of numerous coastal security exercises at state and regional level. Significant appointments of the officer include Command of two ICG Ships and ICG Dornier Squadron. He has also carried out the appointments of Director Air Staff and Aircraft Acquisition at Coast Guard Headquarters.
The officer has been actively involved in various Search and Rescue, EEZ Surveillance, anti-smuggling, anti-poaching, anti-piracy operations and Pollution Response operations conducted by ICG with coordination of multi agencies at state and national level. The officer has also coordinated HADR and cyclone relief operations in the ICG. He has also participated in National level SAREX and National level Pollution Response Exercise.
The officer has organized several Community Interaction Programs (CIPs) for Fisherfolks/ Coastal Populace, significantly addressing the issues of safety & security at Sea. He has actively participated in the planning and execution of mass mobilization of the coastal population during cyclones/ floods.
