Dr Rachna Arora — Team Leader, Marine Litter and EU-REI, GIZ, New Delhi — spoke on the theme “Reducing Marine Litter in Coastal Ecosystems” in Professional Session One – “India’s Coastal Resilience: Challenges” on Day One of the Vice Admiral KK Nayyar Fellowship Conference 2023.

About the Speaker:

Dr Rachna Arora is working as a Team Leader in the EU-Resource Efficiency (EU-REI) project of the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH and as a Team Leader on the GIZ Circular Economy Solutions Preventing Marine Litter Project. She has been working with GIZ for the last 15 years under bilateral projects, projects of the European Commission, and partnership projects with the private sector with relevant ministries and government departments towards policy formulation and its implementation. She is a TEDx speaker on the Circular Economy. She holds a doctorate degree in environmental chemistry from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Roorkee.
