India is the seventh-largest economy in the world as measured by nominal GDP and third-largest economy as measured by PPP. Revitalizing Project ‘Sagarmala’ in 2014 is a major step towards India’s infrastructural growth. Developing inland waterways is one of the 150 initiatives under this project. The development of these waterways is crucial for the Indian economy.
