The Indo-Pacific Regional Dialogue 2020

It is with a deep sense of regret and more than a little anguish that we inform you that as a consequence of the inability of a large number of speakers and panellists from countries of the Indo-Pacific to travel in the face of the restrictions imposed by the outbreak of the Coronavirus, the 2020 edition of the Indo Pacific Regional Dialogue (IPRD 2020) stands cancelled.

This decision to cancel the IPRD 2020 has been an agonising one but has been jointly taken by the Indian Navy and the National Maritime Foundation in the interest of public health and in recognition of the need to proactively contribute to the ongoing regional effort to minimise even an inadvertent spread of the virus.  Further, both organisations fully recognise that the value that each identified speaker and panellist who had been scheduled to participate in IPRD-2020 is significant, that the inability of multiple speakers/panellists to travel to New Delhi would seriously dilute the collective regional-benefit that was sought to be realised.

Please accept our sincerest apologies for the inconvenience caused, even as we offer our unreserved gratitude for the support that has been so readily forthcoming from you.

The Indian Navy and the NMF look forward to hosting you for ‘IPRD 2021’, and solicit your continued support for forthcoming editions of this seminal event.
